Operating internationally, Veracyte is a genomic diagnostics company offering a range of genomic tests. These tests aim to improve patient care for cancer and other diseases by avoiding risky, costly diagnostic procedures and reducing the time to treatment. Incorporated in 2006, Veracyte has its headquarters in South San Francisco, California. Formerly known as Calderome, Inc., the company changed its name to Veracyte, Inc. in March 2008. Veracyte currently offers tests for lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, thyroid cancer, bladder cancer, and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. It is also developing a nasal swab test for the detection of early lung cancer, and subtyping tests for renal cancer and lymphoma. Veracyte is positioned to deliver these tests to patients around the world with the help of its best-in-class diagnostics instrument platform. Available on the NASDAQ, Veracyte, Inc. stock is listed under the ticker VCYT. The company has biopharmaceutical collaborations with Johnson & Johnson, Acerta Pharma, Loxo Oncology, and Bayer AG. On March 15, 2021, Veracyte acquired Decipher Biosciences in a $600m deal.
