Formerly known as BSL Holdings, Inc., the company changed its name to Builders FirstSource, Inc. in October 1999. The company operates through four segments, including: Northeast, Southeast, South, and West. It offers a wide range of lumber and lumber sheet goods, wood flooring, roof trusses, windows, interior and exterior doors, and interior trim. Builders FirstSource also provides roofing and insulation products, as well as gypsum, siding products, exterior trim, and concrete and cement products. Builders FirstSource stock is listed on the NYSE under the ticker BLDR. The company also offers cabinets and hardware, design assistance, and professional installation services. In August 2021, Builders FirstSource completed the acquisition of WTS Paradigm, LLC, a software provider for the building products industry. In September 2021, the company acquired Apollo software assets from the construction technology startup Katerra for approximately $4.5m.
