Duke Realty Corporation is a self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT). The company owns, manages, and develops industrial properties within the United States. Founded in 1972, Duke Realty has its headquarters in Indianapolis, Illinois. Duke Realty operates through two segments: service operations and rental operations of industrial properties. The service operations segment handles a range of real estate services that are primarily related to development, property management, and construction management services. These services are provided to third-party owners, unconsolidated joint ventures, and customers. The rental operations of industrial properties segment is concerned with the ownership and development of industrial properties. Stock for Duke Realty is listed on the NYSE under the ticker DRE. As of November 2021, the company owns and operates approximately 159 million rentable square feet of industrial assets, located in 20 major logistics markets. In November 2021, Duke Realty announced the acquisition of a 63,265-square-foot distribution facility located in Pomona, California. During the same month, the company announced that it had acquired a 53-acre site in Newark, New Jersey, located within a mile of the Port of New York/New Jersey, the I-95 New Jersey Turnpike, and Liberty International Airport.
