Wendel Group was founded in the Lorraine region t in northeast France in 1704. This European investment firm invests in companies across Africa, Europe, and North America. Group companies include Bureau Veritas, Cromology, Stahl, IHS, Constantia Flexibles, Allied Universal and Tsebo. Wendel has an active role as a controlling or leading shareholder in these companies. Wendel Group employs approximately 100 people worldwide, including a 30-strong investment team that is supported by the group’s Finance, Legal, Tax, Communications & Sustainable Development, and Operational Resources teams. In 2019, Wendel announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire the Crisis Prevention Institute from FFL Partners at an enterprise value of $910 million. Wendel is listed on Eurolist by Euronext Paris. The company’s financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2019 include reported consolidated sales of €6.4 billion over nine months, representing an increase of up 2.8% overall and 0.9% organically.
