The SPDR S&P Bank ETF provides exposure to the bank segment of the S&P, including diversified banks, mortgage finance companies, and asset management and custody banks, among others. Managed by State Street Global Advisors Funds Management Inc., this ETF was established in November 2005. The SPDR S&P Bank fund's key objective is to replicate the investment performance of the S&P Banks Select Industry Index. The companies held by this fund are all part of the S&P 500, which includes large companies listed on stock exchanges within the United States.
