Vanguard Short-Term Bond ETF

The Vanguard Short-Term Bond ETF provides exposure to investment-grade bonds that mature in between one and five years. Managed by The Vanguard Group, Inc., this ETF was established in April 2007. The Vanguard Short-Term Bond fund's key objective is to replicate the investment performance of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. 1-5 Year Government/Credit Float Adjusted Index. This index includes all medium and larger issues of US government, investment-grade corporate, and investment-grade international dollar-denominated bonds that mature in between one to five years and are publicly issued. In general, the fund invests at least 80% of its assets in investments that are included in the index, holding each bond in approximately the same proportion as its weighting in the index. The base currency for this fund is USD. Stock for the Vanguard Short-Term Bond ETF is listed on the NYSE under the ticker BSV. This fund includes investments in bonds with a range of credit quality ratings, including Government, AAA, AA, A and BBB. This fund is considered to be diversified.
