Pilgrim's Pride Corporation is an American, multinational food company, and is one of the world’s largest poultry producers. The firm is headquartered in Greeley, Colorado, and is primarily focused on the production, processing and distribution of various chicken and pork products within the United States, and internationally. The firm was founded in 1946. The company sells its products through a variety of outlets, including retailers, distributors, restaurants and food service providers, as well as through global export. The firm owns 39 production facilities and 27 prepared foods facilities across 14 states within the USA, as well as in the UK, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Europe. In total, the company has products for sale in more than 100 countries. The firm operates through a number of subsidiaries worldwide, including UK brands Moy Park, a leading poultry company, and Tulip Limited, a leading supplier of pork products and prepared foods. Other brands the firm distributes products under include Pilgrim's Pride and Gold Kist. In total, the company produces over 13 billion pounds of chicken and around 443 million pounds of pork products annually. The firm trades on the NASDAQ under the stock ticker PPC.
