iShares Core S&P Small-Cap ETF

The iShares Core S&P Small-Cap ETF is an exchange traded fund that seeks to track the investment results of the S&P SmallCap 600 Index, an index composed of small-capitalization U.S. equities. The fund is managed by Blackrock, a major international financial company, and a provider of a broad range of ETFs, which is headquartered in New York City. The fund was established in 2000. The fund aims to provide investors with a simple way to invest in approximately 600 of the top small cap stocks in the U.S. market in a convenient, low cost and tax efficient way. The fund has holdings across a range of sectors, including healthcare, industrials, real estate, consumer discretionary, and information technology. The index that the fund tracks measures the performance of the small-capitalization sector of the U.S. equity market, as determined by SPDJI. The fund will generally invest at least 80% of its assets in the component securities of the underlying index and in investments that have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the component securities of its index.
