Founded in 1991, Jenoptik is an integrated photonics group, based in Jena, Germany. Jenoptik provides three primary services: Light & Optics, Light & Production and Light & Safety. The company’s clients and partners come from a wide range of industries, such as automotive, defence, medical, security and semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Jenoptik has a worldwide presence, with representation in Australia, China, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, the United States and more. Jenoptik purchased the process automation company, Five Lakes, in 2017. Traded as JEN.DE on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, Jenoptik went public in 1998. The IPO was the result of a spin-off from Jenoptik Carl Zeiss Jen GmbH. The company was aiming to raise up to $433 million.
