A software developer for architects and engineers, Nemetschek SE was founded in 1963 by Professor Georg Nemetschek. Headquartered in Munich, this German IT company provides services in over 140 countries, both directly and through its subsidiaries. Nemetschek SE serves many companies in real estate, construction and building management industries. The company was one of the first to incorporate computer technology and software for engineering use. This was initially done for Nemetschek’s internal operations. But, in 1977, the company began to offer its software for sale. Nemetschek SE, traded as NEM.DE, is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The company went public in 1999. In addition to the FSE, NEM.DE stock is also part of the Prime Standard index. The Prime Standard is a list of German companies that are considered to have above average transparency standards. The Nemetschek corporate structure includes subsidiaries from all over the world. Aside from its German offices, the company also has operations in Denmark, England, Germany, Norway and Sweden.
