This segment also manages grocery and convenience store deliveries in select markets. Uber's Freight segment connects carriers with shippers on its platform and permits the booking of a shipment. On 13 October 2021, Uber Technologies announced the completion of its acquisition of Drizly, an online alcohol ordering and delivery service, in a deal for approximately $1.1bn in stock and cash.
