Osmosis is a decentralised exchange (DEX), although technically it is an automated market maker (AMM) protocol built on the Cosmos network. As an interoperable DEX, Osmosis allows users to trade various assets across different blockchains within the Cosmos ecosystem. Osmosis fosters a permissionless trading environment while prioritising security through Cosmos’ secure proof-of-stake consensus mechanism.
