Storj

Storj is an open-source decentralised cloud storage solution for developers. Founded by Shawn Wilkinson and John Quinn in 2014, the current version of the network, known as V3, was launched in 2019. STORJ coins are used within the network, with an initial supply of around 500mn tokens, which were minted on the Ethereum blockchain. Seed funding in 2017 raised around $3mn, which was followed that same year with a token sale that released 70mn STORJ tokens and generated around $30mn. Prior to the token sale 245mn tokens were locked in a reserve. The total amount of STORJ tokens in circulation in 2021 is just under 425mn. The tokens have good liquidity and are now listed on crypto exchanges against other digital coins and fiat currencies.
